commented on Mistakes, Incompetence, and a Cover-up: President Obama and the Tragedy in Libya 2012-10-28 00:51:12 -0400 · Flag
I have been wanting to email you for a long time, with my concerns for this wonderful country. I have researched this president for several months. Make no mistake, he knows exactly what he is doing. I believe he should be held for treason, period. I read another article that indirectly he supplied this group with the arms, etc to do exactly what they did – murdered our Americans. I agree with Mr. Woods. The whole administration should be held accountable for their terrible acts of decision. I believe Obama (sorry I am disrespectful, but he doesn’t deserve mine. He has no conscience and he is a liar. I just can’t believe our fellow Americans just don’t get it. I am scared for fear of the lack of medicare for my husband and me. And nothing he does, makes sense. And I’m angry because not one person or official has challenged him and held him accountable for what he does and has broken his oath so many times, thrown the Constitution in the garbage. He respects no one except himself. He is ignoring Libya because he is supporting the Muslim leaders in these countries – USA is in trouble. Poor James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and Ben Franklin who provided our treasure, the Constitution, which I taught to my 5th-graders and participated in WE THE PEOPLE. After this incident in Libya, I believe everything I have read is true – he is incompetent to serve in this position – he knows nothing except Marxism and wants to be dictator. I am sad about the citizens who also are not using their senses and still want to vote for this man. Thanks for your email on this – I follow FoX News every day. I appreciate your patriot voice for us all. I pray for our country every day and pray people will vote with their senses, not the party. God bless you.

No Budget No Pay

The “No Budget, No Pay Act” would require members of Congress to forgo pay for every day after October 1 that they don’t adopt a budget and pass all of its spending bills.  Once members approved a spending plan and appropriated the money, they would start receiving paychecks again but couldn’t collect any retroactive pay.  The premise is simple: don’t do your job and you don’t get paid.

Sounds logical enough. When you are in the private sector, if you don’t do your job, you don’t get paid or worse you get fired.  We should expect the same from our elected officials.

Remarkably, Congress hasn’t passed a budget since 2009. The United States faces its most serious financial crisis and Senate Democrats could not be bothered to write a budget because budgets force people to make choices.  This has to change.

In the longer term, we need a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution so the federal government has to balance its budget like our states do.  And in the short term, we need a new law to start the process of fiscal reform today. The “No Budget, No Pay Act” is a good start.

Americans develop a budget within their household.  We should be able to rely on our lawmakers to do the same for our nation.  This is a core constitutional and job responsibility.
