What is Your American Dream?

Patriot Voices wants to know: What is your American Dream? What are you doing to make that happen? Tell us below, and stay tuned in the coming weeks as we share more about the American Dream.

I see the passage of the FairTax as the single greatest piece of legislation for creating a smaller government, for dramatically improving our economy, and ridding Washington of thousands of tax lobbyists. I dream of the day when our elected politicians see all the many flaws in our current tax code and instead of tweaking a totally broke system vote to totally replace it. The FairTax plan is the only plan in existence that totally overhauls our tax system with something that is fair, finite, and flat. Over 60 in the house of reps. are co-sponsors along with more than a handful of senators. Momentum is growing for this plan. My dream would also include organizations like patriot voices getting behind this effort. I challenge senator Santorum and all elected officials to thoroughly study this plan and get behind it as so many people are doing.

RESTORING THE DREAM

My American dream is stopping those who want to remove (OBAMA admin) the “ladder” of upward mobility.  I want to continue striving to improve my upward mobility so one day, hopefully, I am able to support without too much stress and anxiety, myself or a spouse-family. I am currently, going to graduate school in Accounting to upgrade my skills and knowledge for a better job in this field. Once I graduate, the job market, because of horrific OBAMA- liberal progressive policies I worry of no or such lack of opportunities to achieve my American dream. Too few jobs for too many citizens.  Also I pray for this nation of ours can restore, preserve the constitutional republic it once was. The severe assault on religious, political, economic freedoms, moral- ethical responsibility stops.

My American Dream

My American Dream is that everyone regardless of gender, race, ethnic group, and sexuality had the same rights to schools, jobs, getting married, and living their lives.  That anyone could practice any religion they wanted, but when someone tried to get their particular religious beliefs reflected in law, that the majority of citizens would deem that the abomination it truly is to our country's history and laws, and that someone would then be shouted down for their attempt to take freedom away from the rest of us in the name of their religion.  I also wish that schools could be more fully funded so that future members of the Tea Party could know that being a fascist, socialist, and communist are all separate and unique political views and calling someone all of them at once makes them look like idiots.  Also, hopefully the extra education will help them with all the grammatical and spelling errors I see on their signs (one can hope).

I have many more things that I want to happen in my American Dream that I won't go into, but to make my dream happen, I have joined the ACLU, vote largely democratic, routinely destroy conservative arguments in person or on the internet, and work to keep conservative policies, which came close to destroying America during the previous president's term, from being enacted or work to get them repealed.

My American Dream is to restore hope

The day after this last election I thought to myself....what just happened? How did this happen a second time? I felt let down by my fellow Americans that could accept another 4 years of this erosion of what my America stood for and was built on.

I felt hopeless, like we can never get back to where we need to be as a country. The lack of leadership that leaves us all so vulnerable to the loss of every freedom we've known in the past.

America is about choice, and what you believe in. This country has fallen from the land of opportunity to the land of entitlement. When you try to instill morals and values in your children, they are undermined by this current society and they are forced to accept and tolerate everything or be labeled as some sort of bigot.

After months of feeling like the rug got pulled out from under me after this election, I am trying to regroup. I have realized I cannot give up and need to fight harder for what I believe in. Rather than just accept what we've been handed for another 4 years, we need to get active. Write letters to our elected officials and voice your opinions, attend meetings with other like minded people, continue to raise our children with strong values and morals. Teach our younger generation what it was really like before this complacency set in. Teach them that even though you are penalized for working hard today, that you still should. Teach them to make a difference.

I was so disappointed to see the so called "dream act" passed by the house which gives state college tuition assistance to illegal immigrants, feel like it rewards them for breaking our countries laws. I had just gotten the news from my son that serves in our United States military that his tuition assistance has been cut. Where is the justice in that? Why aren't people up in arms over this? I would hope the folks in our senate would come to their senses and vote no. This is just one of many issues I disagree with.

My American Dream is to bring back the America we had, the America that was made strong by hard working people, and our military members that have made the ultimate sacrifice for the rights we have. I love my country and am so very proud to be American. We need to restore hope instead of just rolling over and accepting what has been handed to us. Quit being afraid of offending people because you stand for something that doesn't involve big government. God Bless America and the ones who will stand up for her.

Non-Denominational Dream

To have a nation free from religious prejudice, where the hindu or the atheist have as little influence as the baptist or the jew.  Where universal principles transcend tribal conflicts and we figure out the moral difference between the ancient "golden rule" and the military industrial complexes' "bring it on" mentality.

My American Dream

My dream is that my children will continue to grow up in a Free Nation, and that when they grow up they will have the same and even better opportunities. I dream of an America that no longer kills innocent unborn babies, and a nation that will embrace all people with special needs. That's why I got involved with Patriot Voices last year because I seen the direction that we were headed as a nation and that's why I got involved and became a County Coordinator. I'm a homeschooling mom, and I sacrifice my time and money to preserve our Great Nation. Being part of this amazing team has given me a Voice, and I want my children to have a voice and be heard, I want the American Dream to continue for my children and lord willing one day maybe my grandchildren. America is still Great, we just need to fight for our freedoms now so that the American Dream will be preserved for the next generation.

My Dream

I am trying to get something similar to a perinatal hospice started in my area.  This is an organization that comes alongside women after they learn that their child will not survive long after birth.  To make it happen, I am working with my local pregnancy center and am getting information from another similar organization in another state.

Looking forward to hearing Rick Santorum speak in May.

One Thought

If only we could get all of America to realize this: What good is the common good if you don't have any common sense?

My American Dream

To become successful enough to help make a difference in my community by housing  homeless families by no fault of their own, feed those that work hard at low paying jobs that have to make a choice between medication or food the choice between electric or food or the choice between gasoline to get to work or food, this my friends is real America today, the hardships and struggles are real and so many people who have so little hope grow and prosper just from the strength of an act of kindness from a stranger.  I need to make a difference and  I will so long as God is willing to make me prosper with wealth to give freely and willingly.  I have struggled, I have had patches of success and I intend to use my suffering to help others find peace and the will to fight the fight for the Good of life, to use my suffering by sharing with those that have a voice and the means to make a difference that I don't have.  I want to become the loudest advocate for the poor by teaching all that the only way to help is by providing avenues without restrictions made by governmenatl policies that are unrealistic policies that do nothing but kill the American Dream.  These Killing obsticles simply promotes defeat within the soul and does nothing for our society but promote the desire for a handout because the dream slips further out of reach and becomes an illusion of the mind that is simply just fantasy.  We as a society must find a way to start helping our neighbors without labeling them. I want and need to make a differnce that is my dream, to make this happen to help others I must become wealthy.  I want to open a store, I want to build homes and apartments and develope communities, I want to manufacture a product that treasures memories and if God gives me the tools to do this, I know I can and will make a difference.  I want to leave a mark on this world and become a part of something that is bigger than me, like my founding fathers did.  Now is the time to elect a President to help Americans reach into their souls and become the BEST Nation their ever was or will be.  I will do anything to help Mr Rick Santorum become our next President, his CPAC speech tells me he understands what is needed to make AMERICA great AGAIN!!!! May everyone who reads this feel blessed and renewed with hope as I felt as I listed to Mr Rick Santorums CPAC speech!
