VIDEO: Santorum to Iowa Republicans: "We will be the pro-working man and woman party"

VERONA, PA - Winner of the 2012 Iowa Republican presidential caucus, former U.S. Senator, and Chairman of Patriot Voices returned to Iowa this week for five events to rally Republican voters in support of the Iowa Republican ticket and urge the Party to becoming the Party of working men and women.

Here is a recap of Senator Santorum's trip: "Santorum delivers Caucus-like Speech in Mason City"

Santorum arrived at the Mason City GOP Victory office over the lunch hour on Wednesday. It was his first stop on a four-city tour of Victory offices around the state. While the other candidates are using most of their time to advocate for Iowa candidates or to motivate volunteers, Santorum's speech was very similar to what he has focused on for the past two years.

"We need to be a party that is not just for growth and opportunity. Those are good things. We need to expand the economy. We need to have more growth. We need to create more jobs. We have to make sure that everybody participates in this economy and succeeds and unfortunately that's not happening under this administration," Santorum said.

Rick Santorum grew up in a blue collar Pennsylvania town. He was elected to Congress in a Democrat-leaning district in 1994. Santorum says he won by talking about issues that affect the average worker. And he strongly believes that is the path the Republican Party needs to take to achieve success in the future.

"I believe that if we as a party start saying that we're not just the pro-growth party, but the pro-worker party," Santorum said. "The Democratic Party has become the pro-government party. They are not for work. In fact they do everything they can to disincentivize work."...

Mason City Globe Gazette: "Santorum stresses family values in visit to MC"

Former Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum brought his family values message to Mason City on Wednesday, saying the Republican Party needs to refocus if it expects to win.

"I'm trying to take the Republican Party and shake big business and Wall Street out of it. The whole point of America is you."...

Sioux City Journal: "Santorum tells Sioux Cityans GOP needs big victory"

... Santorum, who won the 2012 Iowa caucuses, said he's optimistic the nation will elect a GOP president in 2016 but shied away from committing himself to another presidential bid.

"We're doing everything consistent with giving it a run in 2016," he said. "But I won't make any decisions on that until well into 2015."...
