I guess before you go all ballistic on me that I should add that her daughter is a physician, too. And Jesus did say, “Be perfect even as My Father is perfect.” Very high expectations from Him, I know. But that’s what we’re called to. Read her quotes at the bottom of the page and you’ll see why she’s a saint.

Of course Austin is offering women services it is a major city with 2 million people. And Rick Perry’s little sister is a lobbyist for one of those clinics who will charge 3 times the amount of what the clinics that they are causing to close. She stands to make a lot of money off of this bill. I’m talking about women who live in desolate places that will have to travel 200 miles one way to be seen. This bill is a loophole to the constitution evading women’s rights. You and I may care about the lives but the legislature doesn’t otherwise they would provide ways to care for the children who are already born to the poor. Last time I checked they were trying to take away their food.
Why shouldn’t ALL medical clinics be held up to the same level ? Funny but it seems like they could care less about ALL the people who are already alive but they will fight tooth and nail for an unborn . Doesn’t make any sense. Wake up America it isn’t about abortion its about dividing us all so the Republicans can take power over us and we be their slaves forever. True fact.

I think a perfect example of rape and a Mother being a mother and loving her child regardless of sperm donation is these beautiful women in Cleveland. And since it seems to be a leftist argument you are offering I will supply you a link from MSN about these lovely beautiful women whom Cleveland is blessed to have as residents.
I will pray for you.

Janice, the fearmongering over women not being able to have access to pap smears and mamograms if abortion clinics are shut down is baseless. I believe Austin is teaming with actual women’s health centers that offer these services. I seriously doubt that women all over Texas are going to start dropping dead everywhere because baby killing centers are put out of business. Recent undercover investigations of abortion clinics across the nation by Live Action have exposed the lie that PP centers and abortion clinics even offer these medical tests. Also, the only purpose for a late term abortion is to deliver a dead baby. Good medicine aims to care for and/or save the lives of both mother and baby. The goal of an abortionist is to guarantee the baby is delivered dead. The stream of pregnant women filing through abortion clinics is not due to a high level of pregnancy complications threatening the lives of these women; it is symptomatic of a culture that says human life is acceptably disposable as long as the life being disposed of is hidden from view.

I never said abortion was right. But who am I to judge another? Jesus said "Judge not that ye not be judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Let that be between the woman and God. As for the amount of abortions perhaps because there are many poor women who cannot aford birth control or are raped, you know we are living in a rape culture don’t you? Or perhaps with all the toxins from pollution there are many fetuses with abnormalities and why bring the baby into the world knowing its going to suffer for a few minutes /day /week/s? Or perhaps being pregnant is killing the mother. Should the mother give up her life so that maybe the fetus will become viable and eventualy motherless? If your father were to commit incest would you want to carry the fetus in your womb so you could have to always remember what happened? And worse yet for everyone one else to see you pregnant and maybe know who is the father? You don’t think that it is humiliationg enough to have your own father do this to you? It is not our jobs to judge it is our role to love.

Is 20 weeks too much to ask for. Innocent life murdered by the hands of a mother? This has nothing to do with a women’s health, it is a honor to have a life grow inside your body and should be treated as such. Complications are not why abortions are preformed. If the mothers life is at risk then why are their so many abortions. Abortion is not contraception. A baby feels pain, murder at any age is pain. Just because it is a law does not make it right.

Joyce what does catholic charities do for a women who has complications during pregnancy? Do they go to the places where those clinics are going to be closed to give the women their pap smears and their mamograms? And if I can remember right catholics dont believe in birth control. And Austin is a major cities im talking about all the clinics they are closing where there isnt a major city around.

Janice, let’s see…where can I address all of your misconceptions? There are so many. Have you heard of Catholic Charities? Google what they do. You’ll be amazed….adoption, family strengthening, climate change, counseling, human trafficking, housing, poverty reduction programs, disaster operations. Then there’s Project Rachel for those suffering post abortive syndrome. Then there’s pregnancy help that includes medical services; help before and after the child is born with education, free counseling. Then there’s Gabriel Project that helps with all the above and free items for the Mom and baby – my daughter uses them a lot and has gotten car seats, clothes, education, diapers – all free. Then in Austin we have the Pope John Paul II Life Center that offers free care to expectant Mothers who need it.

And I’ve only scratched the surface of all the Catholic Church does for women. There must be a ton of other charities set up through other churches that also help. You’ve only to look.

What about the women that will die because of complicated pregnancy? Does their life not count? And all the women who will NOT be able to get preventive health care because all those clinics wil be closed? It’s a sad day when the unborn have more importance then those who are already born. Why don’t you so called Christians work so hard to create jobs and feed the already born who are hungry and born to poor mothers and fathers who did chose to have their children? Because you all don’t give a rats ass about human life it’s all about the power, the power of controlling other people. Shame on you ALL. You will answer to God .
